Skedulo Plus mobile notifications
Overview
Timer-based proximity notifications are used to remind resources when a scheduled job is about to start or complete. These notifications are available offline and online, and are sent as push notifications or in-app pop-up notifications, depending on whether the resource is currently using the app.
Job start time notification
When the time is close to the scheduled start time of a job and the job is not yet in progress, then the resource will receive the following notifications:
- 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- At the scheduled start time.
- 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.
If the resource changes the job status to In progress after the first or second notification, then there will be no further reminders to start the job.
Job complete time notification
When the time is close to scheduled end time of a job and the job is not yet completed, then the resource will receive the following notifications:
- 10 minutes before the scheduled end time.
- At the scheduled end time.
- 10 minutes after the scheduled end time.
If the resource changes the job status to Completed after the first or second notification, then there will be no further reminders to complete the job.
Enable proximity notifications
As an admin, you can enable the proxy notifications feature for all your resources from Settings > Mobile app configuration > Mobile settings.
Note
Resources can disable these notifications on their device via their OS settings menu.If proximity notifications have been enabled on the web app, then resources do not need to have the Skedulo Plus app running in the background to receive proximity notifications.
